Current Skincare, Makeup, Food faves, Jewelry Etc.

Wooohooo! I finally graduated from nursing school last week. Now if I can only get the energy to study for my NCLEX =D. Hahahaha

I know I haven't updated you guys on my current faves and recent loots so I decided to incorporate everything in this blog post so I apologize in advance if I overwhelm you.

I am currently loving gold and black jewelry for night outs I picked up these pieces from Forever 21. It went perfectly with my black form fitting, satin, corset dress that I wore to a recent trip to a DC club.
The above FOTD was taken that day I went clubbing. I know it's not that clear but I went with a black, brown smokey eye makeup.

Here are my favorite day time jewelry, white flower stud earrings, white bow earrings, and a bird sitting on a branch with flower necklace. Everything here were purchased from Forever 21 as well.

On to the makeup! So I currently alternate between the foundations above. I don't use the Lancome 24 hr foundation as often though, because I find it somewhat drying for my oily combo skin. I use my Laura Mercier Silk Creme foundation a lot more than the other two foundations. It's cream texture gives me a perfect coverage and I find that I don't need to use concealer.

I use three different MSFs. Medium (natural highlight), Medium Plus (my skin tone), Medium Dark (Natural Contour powder). The concealer that I use is Bobbi Brown's Warm Natural Creamy concealer with Pale Yellow Sheer Finish Loose Powder. I like using this under my eyes because it's not too heavy and it gives that Kim Kardashian effect!

These days, I find myself gravitating towards neutral eye makeup looks, partly because of Nursing school. I use Espresso eye shadow for my brows, Urban Decay NAKED 2 palette and NARS Ashes to Ashes e/s for my eye makeup looks, I use Maybelline Great Lash Mascara in Waterproof Very Black, pink Sonia Kashuk lash curler, and MAC power point eye pencil in Engraved.

Above is a picture of my three most used blush, bronzer, and highlighter. I really love MAC subtle Breeze mineralized blush, MAC Soft And Gentle MSF highlighter, and Laura Geller Blush N Brighten in Honey Dipped.

Here is a swatch on my arm from left to right, MAC Subtle Breeze mineralized blush, Laura Geller Honey Dipped, MAC MSF in Soft And Gentle.

During clinicals, I was not allowed to wear perfume which sucked but at the same time I know that I would rather opt out in wearing perfumes than to risk triggering a pt into having an asthma attack or something. On the days when I can actually wear perfumes, I like to use CLEAN Shower Fresh (for school days), Dior J'Adore (Dates), and my newest addition, also a graduation gift is this Vera Wang Princess perfume (and also tube of shower gel).

I love the bottle of Vera Wang Princess! The scent is very sweet, but not in an immature way. More like romantic with a hint of playfulness. It's definitely a sexy scent but can be worn on a regular basis as well.

The bag that I currently use is my coach bag. The Hello Kitty bags (semi clear and pink) are adorable and was gifted to me by a friend when she flew to Japan (she's a flight attendant). The mirror is from Sephora. It has two sides, one magnified and one regular. It's sooo cute!

I have almost always struggled with acne but for the past 6 months, I've been pretty clear with an exception of a few bumps here and there whenever Aunt Flow is in town. I have been using Mario Badescu Acne cleanser and drying lotion on those bad skin days and they work wonderfully!

However, for the past couple of months I have been so stressed out that my skin has started becoming ridiculously dry and peeling! Sometimes, I use Aquaphor at night so my skin gets ultra moisturized the next day. After removing my makeup I like to use Nivea Refreshingly Soft Moisturizing Creme (has Jojoba Oil and Vitamin E). This moisturizer is luxurious and has a subtle, clean scent. It's also versatile in that it can be used for the rest of the body!

For my day time skincare routine, I cleanse my face and then use my DDF Ultra-Lite Oil Free Moisturizing Dew (let it get absorbed), then apply DDF Weightless Defense Oil-Free Hydrator UV Moisturizer SPF 45 (my sunscreen), and apply my DDF Protective Eye Cream UV Moisturizer SPF 15.

These are my current go to snack combo, Yama Moto Yama Mint Green Tea and Carr's Table Water Crackers. The crackers go well with hummus too!

Well that's pretty much it for now. I will continue to update you guys as much as I can. This next few months is gonna be all about passing boards and getting a job, which will eventually equate to more pics of hauls, reviews, and life stuff.
